Soccer

In addition to my sand volleyball team I joined a nine on nine intramural soccer league. I was in my room one day when the captain of the team who I had never met before came and asked if I wanted to play. I thought that was nice and I haven’t played soccer in a little while and I figured that it would be fun so I agreed. We practiced on Sunday, which I am still sore from by the way. But our first game was Monday and not only is that my busy day with classes, I also had a sand volleyball game, dinner, a chemistry exam, and then the soccer game at nine. This was one of the busiest days of my life. But after being sore from Sunday, playing sand volleyball, eating too much at dinner and taking a test, I sprinted from Elliot to my dorm to the soccer fields in a short amount of time. After I got there, gasping for air to relieve my cramping, I found out that our game was forfeited because six of our players decided that they did not want to show up. Unbelievable.

  1. hey that is really awesome. The best part was that you had the captain of the came up to you to ask you to play! Dude, you seriously had a great opportunity to play directly at the intramurals.
I know how does one feel when you sprint all the way in a hurry for your match and then find that six members didn't show up. I think this situation should be taken in a very positive way because as you said you have very tiring Mondays and due to which you would have screwed your match. Hope you have your next match soon. :) GOOD LUCK!

  2. Thank you, and I guess it is a good thing that the match was cancelled because I cannot imagine what would happen if I had played soccer after the busiest day of my life and on a full stomach, I guess we'll never know.
